I’m Asmita, the founder of Grayzing Tables & Platters. While I’m an accountant & more recently a project manager by profession, I’ve always had the heart of an entrepreneur. Over the years, I’ve explored various side ventures alongside my full-time job, but none truly took off—until Grayzing Tables & Platters came to life.
I’ve always been known as ‘the hostess with the mostest,’ with my home being the go-to spot for dinners, BBQs, and special events among friends and family. My journey into the world of grazing began with a milestone celebration—my 40th birthday. As the COVID lockdowns lifted, I hosted an unforgettable gathering with my closest friends, cocktails, music, and my very first grazing table.
The overwhelming response from my friends left me wondering why I hadn’t turned this passion for feeding the world into a business sooner. Knowing it would be a challenge to balance a full-time job and two young children, I reached out to my friend Kathryn to see if she’d be interested in joining me. She jumped at the chance and together we began crafting menus, designing logos, and building our brand. After some experimentation and content creation, we launched on social media. Soon after, we received our first order—and the rest, as they say, is history.
Over the past three years, Grayzing Tables & Platters has grown and evolved, the young children are now teenagers allowing me more time to build on this baby. We’ve expanded our offerings to include various styles of grazing tables, grazing boxes, and most recently, DIY ‘Arrange Your Own Graze’ boards and Graze Board parties. Running this business alongside my day job has been challenging, but deeply fulfilling. Kathryn supports whenever she can, and sometimes we operate as a dynamic duo; other times, I’m flying solo with an apprentice or two by my side.
Grayzing Tables & Platters is my passion, allowing me to unleash my entrepreneurial spirit and creative side. I pour my heart and soul into every table, as if I were preparing it for my own family. At Grayzing Tables & Platters, your event is our event.
